MEGADETH AND ROB ZOMBIE ANNOUNCE CO-HEADLINING TOUR

TREK KICKS OFF MAY 11; INCLUDES HIGH-PROFILE ROCK FESTIVAL APPEARANCES AND WRAPS MAY 26 AT ROCKLAHOMA

Megadeth

Metal heavyweights MEGADETH and ROB ZOMBIE have just announced a co-headlining tour guaranteed to raise the temperature on the planet. The trek–which marks the first time the two bands have toured together–kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ and encompasses high-profile rock festival appearances including Rock On The Range and Rocklahoma, where the tour wraps on Saturday, May 26. A list of confirmed dates is below. For additional information on purchasing tickets, visit www.megadeth.com.

The tour will come on the heels of MEGADETH’s critically acclaimed return of the traveling festival GIGANTOUR, created and curated by frontman DAVE MUSTAINE. Rave reviews have poured in for the festival, which also features MOTÖRHEAD, VOLBEAT and LACUNA COIL. “The return of Gigantour, a nicely curated package tour of heavy metal bands, is just one more step in a great run underway by Megadeth,” wrote the Boston Globe. “It was a smart and well-paced show, one that illuminated metal’s various angles (1/31/12).”

2011 also marked the release of MEGADETH’s 13th album, the appropriately titled Th1rt3en. Released November 1 on Roadrunner Records, the album debuted #11 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart. The album also landed on international charts including Top 10 placements in Argentina, Finland, Korea and Japan. MEGADETH– MUSTAINE, drummer SHAWN DROVER, guitarist CHRIS BRODERICK and bassist DAVID ELLEFSON–also received their tenth Grammy nomination for this project, earning a “Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance” nomination for their single “Public Enemy #1.” The “Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance” category was, eerily, category #13.

This will be ROB ZOMBIE’s first concert tour since last summer’s “Hell on Earth” co-headline trek with Slayer. ZOMBIE spent last fall and winter shooting his sixth feature film, “The Lords of Salem” that he wrote and directed and is making with the producers of the “Paranormal Activity” franchise. With principal photography completed, the film is currently in post-production. Never one to play it safe, ZOMBIE–with guitarist JOHN 5, bassist PIGGY D and GINGER FISH on drum–will bring his legendary stage show out in full force on these dates.

With more dates to be added, check out MEGADETH and ROB ZOMBIE in the following cities:

Coroner Show Dates 2012

I updated the Coroner Official Site.  Here is the Coroner Year-End Update, 2012:

Dear friends,

2011 is over and we want to thank you, our friends and fans, for your overwhelming response to our reunion concerts.  We cannot find the words to express the appreciation we have for all of you.

The response to our first 2011 show at Les Docks in Lausanne gave us the kick-start we needed and has carried us through to our most recent shows in Greece. We’ve been blown away by the fans everywhere!

Thanks to every single one of you who came to our concerts!  We hope you had as good of a time as we did! Thanks to all of the mags who wrote about us and also to the radio stations, and those who worked on our online shows!  A special thanks to all the other bands that shared the stage with us!

We would also like to thank all the promoters and their staffs for doing the maximum to provide an excellent concert. You made it possible!!!

Our special thanks go out to Guenther and Rock the Nation, Laurence Vinclair at Les Docks in Lausanne, Ryan Taylor and Evan at Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore, Ben Barbaud at Hellfest Clisson, Vicky Gregory at Bloodstock Open-air UK, Sascha Plecic and Gage from La Cueva in Thun, Jessie Pythoud for ScarKrows Bar Le Locle, Alfonso Siegrist, Patrik Grau, Tony Bolli and everybody at Plaza Club, Zurich, Andrea Bernini, Rock Hard Festival in Milano, Tomek at Club Studio Krakow, George Daron, Winter Masters of Rock Zlin, Anto and everybody from Rock Cult Bari, Harry Katinakis and friends in Athens and Mihalis Kalogerakis, Konstantine and Lena and everybody at Eight Ball Club in Thessaloniki.

At each venue we found many helping hands and outstanding people who are not listed by name here. Thank you all so much…

Without the best crew in the world we would have been completely lost. You guys did an awesome job and we hope you will be with us on the road till the very last show!!!

Martin Zeller (FOH), Dänu Michel (Lights), Sebastian “Raps” Reiber (FOH / Monitors), Nina Vetterli-Treml, Ben Chételat, Rui Pinto and Dimitris (Guitars), and Nico Müller (Drums). Welcome to the team, Ken Karnig and Melanie Schiegg.

And……

Lu Cubello, our main dude who was with us almost the whole way from 1988 till 2011.  Lu is leaving us after our last concert this year to fully concentrate on his job and family.  We’re gonna miss you maximum bro. And never forget!

Daniel Stössel, our “fourth“ member! Thank you so much not just for the great sounds coming from your magic organ but also for documenting all the shows with your 46 cams. We can’t wait to see the result!

Last but not least our manager Oliver Macchi and ILT Music! You connected us to the world! It’s fucking great to have the chance to work with you again! And we would also like to thank Edy Vetterli for the bookkeeping.

You would not be able to read this, if there was not a CORONER REUNION PAGE…

So thank you Marc Rinderknecht (Website), Laurie Sato (Webhosting/Promotion), Nina Vetterli-Treml (Web Content) and Marcel “Games” Bruderer (Band Pics).

There will be a few more chances to see you at one of our upcoming shows. We have plans to add a couple more songs to our set list, but we’re not quite sure yet which ones. We’ll continue to film all the shows and hopefully put together a nice documentary, which will also include rare footage from the early days. Plus, we’re going to add tons of private photos to the homepage taken from the past to the present.

Keep on writing your comments, posting your recordings on YouTube, covering our songs!

So again, thank you all so much for remembering Coroner. Best wishes for the most happy and exciting year 2012.

Best,

Marky, Ron and Tommy

ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT, DEATH ANGEL TO HIT THE ROAD WITH THIS FALL’S DON’T-MISS THRASHFEST EXTRAVAGANZA

LOS ANGELES, CA – Tuesday, September 6, 2011 – Thrash titans Anthrax and Testament, who haven’t toured together in more than a decade, are set to co-headline a U.S. tour beginning Friday, October 14 in Grand Rapids, MI (itinerary below). Anthrax will close all shows, and Death Angel will be main support for the entire tour. The coast-to-coast trek will figure to decimate more than two dozen cities over a five-week period, with both Anthrax and Death Angel debuting brand new material from their new albums, both set for summer/fall release; Testament’s new album is set to be released in 2012. The Anthrax fan club presale begins today at www.anthraxarmy.com, and the public on-sale kicks off Friday, September 9 at 10AM local time. For more information or to purchase tickets, log onto http://anthrax.com /http://www.testamentlegions.com/ or http://deathangel.us/

“We’ve been tight with the guys in Testament for a long, long time,” said Anthrax’s Charlie Benante. “so we’re really looking forward to hanging out with them on the road. And all of us in Anthrax are big Death Angel fans, so this is going to be a monster of a good time – for all of us and for the fans. Plus, with the incredible success of The Big Four shows over the last year, we wanted to tour with some of the ‘second wave’ of thrash bands.”

The tour will follow Anthrax’s Big Four “hometown” appearance at Yankee Stadium on September 14, with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.

“We’re excited to do this tour because Anthrax was actually the first band we ever toured with,” adds Testament vocalist Chuck Billy. “It’s an accomplishment 20 odd years later that we’re going to do it again. The tour kick-off date is actually about five days difference from the kick off date of the first tour 20 years ago. The first time we performed with Anthrax, we only had a total of ten songs, so obviously now we have many songs to pick from so it will be very different. It’s good to see that a lot of the faces in the bands are the same as back when we first did this original tour 20 years ago.”
